Build for Stance Tanks in new Tombs
I have been trying to work on finding just the right build for tanking in the new Tombs. I'd like to hear some others opinions on what is the best build for it, keeping in mind the enchantment stripping, hexes, etc. Thanks.

I use the following build for the Tombs Underworld, and it works great for me
Riposte
I Will Survive
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Gladiators Defense
Bonnettis
Illusion of Weakness
Rez signet
i put strength at 13 (11+1+helm)
tactics at 13 (11+2)
Illusion has the rest of the points
i use a +30/-2 while enchanted shield, and a pre-searing sword with +10 armor (5 while enchanted and 5 on the pommel upgrade)
I prefer to be the only tank on a team, so that i can stay way out front taking most of the aggro.

I used a similar build for my primary skills, only had endure pain in there, but its the secondaries I haven't been able to decide about. I was using similar one only was thinking of hex breaker but havent tried that yet. btw why use Illussion of weakness?

Once you cast Illusion of Weakness, it will stay on you, but has no upkeep cost. Also, Illusion of Weakness = instant heal for 155 (+or-) when it is shattered, or if your health gets below 25% (better than trying to get a heal sig off with all the interrupts out there).
The enchantment also activates my extra health and damage reduction from my shield. And since Mesmer is my 2ndary, Fingers of Chaos cant remove that enchantment, it would need to be shattered.
edit
Mesmer is the best 2ndary for Tombs UW in my opinion, because Fingers of Chaos does absolutely nothing to mesmers.
Fingers of Chaos does the following to each class (primary or secondary)
W - causes conditions
Mo - removes enchants
N - removes hexes
E - interrupts action
R - all attacks hit
Notice, that there are no Mesmer affects of FoC, so the conditions are the only thing you'll have to deal with. You definately dont want to be a monk 2ndary, because any enchantments that you or your monks cast on you will be removed. You dont want to be a Necro 2ndary because FoC will remove any hexes cast by your teammates. If you have Ranger as your 2ndary, none of your stances will do jack sh!t to stop their attacks. With Elementalist as your 2ndary, you will be constantly interrupted, which is really annoying (I tested it)

Here's the best tank build I've tested so far:
Attributes:
Strength - 12
Sword - 12
Tactics - 9
Inspiration - 5
1 - Hundred Blades (quick adrenelin for #2 and #3)
2 - Galrath's Slash (damage output, optional)
3 - Watch Yourself (adrenelin based armor)
4 - Dolyak Signet (18-seconds, +36 armor 90% of the time)
5 - Distracting Blow (AE-interrupt)
6 - "I will survive" (uninterruptable regen)
7 - Healing Signet (don't use near mesmers, optional)
8 - Inspired Hex (removes hexes and nets +2 energy, optional)
Suggested Gear:
-fiery dragon sword +15%dmg > 50% life, 20% dmg customized, +5 armor pommel -- hits undead VERY hard
-zealous sword +15%dmg > 50% life, 20% dmg customized, +5 armor pommel -- for emergency energy
-any shield with 16-armor, -2 dmg stance, and -2 dmg enchanted or -3 hexed (monk enchantments will stay on you so long as you're a non-monk secondary)
It works reliably and absorbs plenty of damage. Damage output is also quite nice vs. all targets, not just melee mobs. Best of all, it doesn't suffer from the usual FoC enchantment stripping, hex cancellation, interruption, etc... only warrior-based FoC conditions are the sole penalty. As a result, it can pull with full Spellbreaker protection, play SS-trigger, or work with whatever other tactic the party decides to use without FoC-disruption.

I'm using the current build with my W/Mo - this is JUST for bodyblocking, since being in the frontline makes me constantly blind, and well ... blind warriors are as useful as ... a ferret in my shoe.
Distracting Blow
Bonetti's Defense / Shield Stance / Defensive Stance
Healing Signet
Gladiator's Defense *E*
Watch Yourself
Dolyak Signet
Healing Breeze / Reversal of Fortune
Rebirth
Breeze can be used at certain times, but I don't like it much. When you're in the fray, reversal comes off really quickly, and they don't have enough time to strip it off you.
The point of this build is avoiding damage altogether. Just keep swinging your weapon of choice in order to build adrenaline for Watch Yourself, and use that as often as possible (and always before using sig) . If you're SURE you're gonna stay in place, use Dolyak Sig for additional protection (worms mainly, you end up taking insignificant damage). If you're low on energy, click Bonetti's.
Distracting blow is especially useful for dealing with worms and disabling them.
If you use an axe, you might consider using disrupting chop instead.
About hexes and strips in general, I'd forget about those, maybe bring an hex remover to help someone else in your party, like a nuker or monk who's under heavy ... hex0rage (I had to do that ._.).
I'm aware that having a secondary monk just makes things worse, but the main purpose of a tank is to tank, and the warrior can do that just fine without enchantments.
I don't believe that warriors are fit to deal any damage in that map, but protect the party passively instead.
And just something I'd like to spread around, since I never see anybody doing this, at least in the parties I've been to - If you're the tank, please draw that first meteor shower, so it doesn't hit your nukers, monks, barragers or whoever's not tanking in the groin >.>

I've been using a Hammer Tank (W/Mes) build in the tombs lately, it puts those great cheap hammers to good use, and IMHO, what it lacks in damage output it makes up for in damage prevented to you and your party.
1. "Watch Yourself"
2. Bonetti's
3. "For Great Justice"/"To The Limit"
4. Dolyak Signet
5. Earth Shaker {E}
6. Counter Blow
7. Distracting Blow
8. Mantra of Flame
Inspiration (6)
Strength 11+1 (12)
Hammer Mastery 8+1 (9)
Tactics 10+1+1 (12)
1.) Furious Haft, 15^50, +5 armor grip
-- used when dryders are not in the group
2.) Furious Haft, 15^50 +7 vs. ele armor grip
-- used when dryders are in the group
3.) Flatbow for pulling
Keep WY up as much as possible, as well as Dolyak. Bonetti's when energy is low, or in an emergency. FGJ right before an aggro. Depending on the group, earth shaker (knocks down all nearby enemies) or distracting blow for a quick interrupt on wurms/dryders/banished horsemen.
Counter blow knocks down an attacking enemy, so it works well on any grasps that break though to your casters when the situation permits. Mantra of flame for dryders, but watch that you don't inadvertantly cancel it with bonetti's.
I usually go with a monk friend who uses draw conditions, so that helps the problem of being constantly blind while trying to gain adrenaline.

new to this sight, first post, thought i'd share my w/me with you guys. its still being tweaked atm, but getting closer to what i want. first off, the blind thing pissed me off so much that i had to find a way to kill blind. swinging at air really sucks.
1. Illusionary Weapon { E } around 34 dmg every swing
2. Berserker Stance ( use this with IW, and you'll kill anything very fast )
3. Savage Slash ( optional distract )
4. Bonetti's Defence ( get ur energy back after they zap it )
5. Dolyak Sig
6. I Will Survive ( wait till u have alot of conditions on you, +3 hp each condition.
7. Hex Breaker ( hit before u enter battle, wait around 10 secs then go in, so it will recharge again.
8. Heal Sig
i've used mantra of concentration too to get IW out. Ill Weakness works well too for heal.
points are 12 illusion, 9 tac, 9 strength, 9 sword
feel free to comment on build, its still in test phase, i usually just grab 2 monk henchies and see how far i can go.
helps to have a monk with spell breaker and a nec with Blood is Power on your team.

First off anyone who says to be a W/Mo with healing bresse is clueless about the "Fingers Of Chaos"... don't listen to them
Hmmm odd this build hasn't been posted:
Endure Pain
Watch Your Self
Bonetti's Defence
Dolyak Sig
Gladiators Def
Elemental Resistance
One Attack Skill Here (Hundred Blades. Cyclone Axe etc..)
One Attack Skill Here
Use Elemental Resistance and Doylac when fighting Dryders..
When fighting the Graspings use Glad-Def & Doylac then Bonetti's Def once Glad-Def wears off..
